Gailliford Try is favourite for Royal Edinburgh bid

Building contractor Galliford Try has been revealed as the preferred bidder for the first phase of the £42m redevelopment of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, according to a report. states that the firm’s Morrison Construction arm is set to deliver a 15,500m2 mental health facility at the hospital, which will provide services for theadult acute mental health inpatient service, intensive psychiatric care, a national brain injury unit, mental health rehabilitation and older people’s mental health assessment and treatment services.

Galliford’s facilities maintenance business has also been appointed to provide hard maintenance and lifecycle management over the next 25-years in a contract valued at £18m.
