NHS Property Services to merge with CHP

The Department of Health has confirmed that NHS Property Services will merge with Community Health Partnerships (CHP) in 2015 to make it easier to manage andreconfigure the facilities managed by both bodies.

The organisations are private companies owned by the secretary of state for health and the DH was concerned that they could end up competing with each other for rent income from healthcare services, the Health Service Journal reports. It adds that they will work together on 10 ‘quick win’ projects to demonstrate the value of the merger.
