NHS slashes exposure to CSC

The Department of Health has reduced its exposure to toxic contracts with troubled NHS supplier CSC by £100m in the space of just three months, Computer reports.

CSC's latest quarterly results suggest that the Government continuEes to wind down the contract between itself and CSC.

The company lost lost £62m in the NHS contract in the first quarter of the year and in February had to write off a further $1.5bn after it failed to meet a 2007 deadline to deliver patient records software to NHS trusts across two-thirds of England.
