Inspection visit took place on November 8, 2022.

This was a short notice, focused inspection of the maternity service, looking only at the safe and well-led key questions, as part of the CQC’s national maternity inspection programme.

This was the first time the maternity services at Poole Hospital had been rated since the merger of The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in October 2020. The rating for the service inherited from the previous provider was good overall.
