Coaching & Mentoring
HEFMA has created the Coaching and Mentoring Register to connect people who need coaching or mentoring with those who are qualified to be a coach or mentor. It can be used:
- As a recruitment tool for Estates and Facilities professionals
- To attract school leavers and graduates to the profession
- To demonstrate possible career opportunities
This is a tool for the development of NHS Estates and Facilities professionals at all levels and is free to use for HEFMA members.

As the UK’s biggest employer, the NHS can offer an unrivalled range of diverse and rewarding careers in the provision of support services as well – otherwise known as Estates and Facilities (E&F). In fact, figures released in 2019 by NHS England/NHS Improvement quantify the size of the E&F workforce in the NHS in England for the first time as 98,482 people.
