Inspection visit took place on February 2, 2021.

This was an unannounced focused inspection of the emergency department following the CQC’s ‘Resilience 5 Plus’ process - used to support inspection of urgent and emergency care services that may be under pressure.

The previous rating of requires improvement remains. As a result of this inspection the rating limiter which restricted the rating in safe to inadequate has been removed. This key question is now rated requires improvement.
