Grading Explained: Good

The inspection visit took place on December 10, 2020. The gynaecology services were inspected but not rated and the safe, effective, responsive and well-led key questions were reviewed. In April 2016, a focused inspection rated maternity and gynaecology services as good. In June 2017, the CQC separated the maternity and gynaecology services. The purpose of this inspection was to see if improvements made by the Trust had been effective in improving the safety of the service. The inspection recommended the Trust should consider reviewing the structure of the consultant workforce to ensure there is oversight from a consultant who is a specialist in gynaecological cancer for clinics where women are referred to this service and consider improving the way learning from incidents is shared with primary care services.
