Grading Explained: Good

The inspection visit took place on November 12, 2020. It was an unannounced, focused inspection of medical care, including older people’s care, following information received that gave cause for concerns about the safety and quality of services involving the occurrence of three never events across the Trust in six months.

CQC did not rate the hospital at this inspection, so the previous rating of ‘Good’ remains, however, a letter of concern was issued to the Trust about concerns of an ongoing risk that patients may be administered medical air instead of oxygen due to incorrect use of air flowmeters.
