We carried out an unannounced focused inspection of Stepping Hill Hospital in March 2017. We carried out this inspection to particularly look at the care and treatment received by patients within urgent and emergency care and patients receiving medical care at the hospital. 

 

At this inspection, between 28 January and 27 February 2020 we inspected urgent and emergency care, medical care, children and young people’s services and maternity. This was because we had previously rated urgent and emergency care services as requires improvement, we had some concerns about medical care and maternity and we had not inspected children’s and young people’s services since 2016.
