The Inspection visit took place on 14 January - 15 February 2020.
We last inspected Sunderland Royal Hospital (SRH) as part of a comprehensive inspection in April 2018. Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside Hospital NHS Trust merged in April 2019.
Our inspection was part of a comprehensive inspection of the Trust and included adult and paediatric emergency departments and the emergency ambulatory care unit; surgical services; maternity unit; children and young people’s outpatient services; end of life care and outpatients.
