The inspection visit took place on October 28 & 29, 2020. This was part of a focused, responsive inspection at Royal Liverpool University Hospitals to review the processes, procedures and practices within the medical care core service. The services were not rated because this was a focused, short notice inspection in response to specific areas of concern raised by patients, relatives and staff and relating to nutrition and hydration, hygiene needs, staff being unable to provide care, infection prevention and control and staffing concerns.
