Inspection visit took place on May 3-5, 2022.

This was an unannounced inspection of North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, prompted by concerns about the quality and safety of services. Maternity services and services for children and young people were inspected. The rating for maternity services went down from good at the last inspection in 2018 to requires improvement; the rating for services for children and young people remained the same, as good overall.

Due to the ratings given at this inspection, the Trust’s overall ratings of good across all domains changed to requires improvement.
