University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust

Inspection visit took place between June 8-24, 2021.

The merger of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Weston Area Health NHS Trust took place on April 1, 2020. The merger of the two organisations and plans for integrating the hospitals has been impacted by the pandemic. The services at Weston General Hospital under UHBW has been given following this inspection but does not form part of the Trust’s overall current rating. The previous ratings for the former Weston Area Health NHS Trust no longer apply.

This was an unannounced inspection of the Trust’s medical care services at both the UHBW Bristol main site and Weston General Hospital, and an unannounced inspection of the Trust’s outpatients service at Weston General Hospital.
