Inspection visit took place on September 21& 22 and October 4,5 & 18 October 2021. This was an unannounced inspection of urgent and emergency care and medical care services because at the last inspection the Trust overall was rated as requires improvement and information received gave cause for concern about the safety and quality of services.
The inspection found significant concerns and challenges in urgent and emergency care and medical care, largely impacted by challenges within the wider health and social care system. As a result of CQC concerns, it placed conditions on the Trust’s registration, requiring action to be taken with the health and social care system to improve the patient experience and safety.
