Inspection visit took place on March 1, 2021.

This was an unannounced, focused inspection of the emergency department following the ‘Resilience 5 Plus’ process. At its previous inspection, in March 2020, the CQC had rated the Trust as Requires Improvement overall, but with conditions imposed relating to the emergency department, which limited this rating to Inadequate in the key question of safe. Following improvements made by the Trust, this has now improved to Requires Improvement.
