There were 4250 whole time equivalent (wte) staf overall with 447 (wte) being medical staf, 1210 (wte) being nursing staf and 2593 (wte) from other staf groups We inspected the trust as part of the comprehensive inspection programme between 8 and 11 December 2015. We visited the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Leigh Infirmary, Wrightington Hospital, the Thomas Linaker Centre and Boston House.
We rated the trust overall as good and found there were areas of excellent practice.
