The Fire Protection Association (FPA) has announced it will repeat its one-day Building a Safer Future seminar in London. The seminar will take a refreshed but similar look at the implementation plan to the Hackitt Review and how safety standards and regulations are changing in the wake of Grenfell.

The seminar will take place on Monday, April 29, 10:00-16:00 at the Cavendish Conference Centre in London, and will discuss the following areas:

* Dame Judith Hackitt’s recommendations and how these will be implemented

* The implications for current legislation and guidance, and anticipating changes that will come in the months ahead

* Are fire regulations fit for purpose?

* The view of ‘early adopters’ and safety of high-rise buildings

* The future of compliance and enforcement

* How sectors can work collaboratively and with understanding to drive up standards and response to fire incidents

* The outcomes to-date of the competency standards group workstreams activities and likely impacts on design, construction, fire and management personnel.

The FPA is offering HEFMA members a 10% discount – the code will be circulated separately to members so look out for it arriving in your inbox.
