HCA announces shortlist in HEFMA-sponsored Efficiency & Improvement Award

The shortlisted entries for the Hospital Caterer’s Association’s new Efficiency & Improvement Award, sponsored by HEFMA, have been announced:

David Wismann, Cardiff & Vale University Health Board (shortlisted twice – for the Restaurant and Food Retail offer and the Model Ward for Nutrition and Hydration)

Nicola McIvor and Robert McLaughlin from NHS Ayrshire & Arran

Geoffrey Moyle from the Freeman Hospital

The Droplet Team at Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Other awards to be handed out on the night include Caterer of the Year, Catering Service of the Year, the Wilma Wilkie Outstanding Service Award, Special Recognition Award, Chairman’s Choice and the Trade Stand Award.

Caterer of the Year:

Iain Robertson from St Ann’s Hospital in Poole 

Amanda Cartmill from Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust

Geoffrey Moyle from the Freeman Hospital

Chris Neale from Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust

Tony O’Hara from South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland

 

Catering Service of the Year:

Catering Strategy Team at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

Chris Neale and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Tony O’Hara and South Easter Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland

 

Wilma Wilkie Outstanding Service:

Emma Wilson from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals

Pam Miller from Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust

Sheila Miller, retired, from NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

 

The winners will be announced at The President’s Dinner on the evening of April 11 during the National Leadership & Development Forum at the Celtic Manor.
