The Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) has announced the launch of a series of new webinars, aiming to ensure best practice in food and drink service within healthcare and the continued successful development of the service.

The first in the series will take place on Wednesday, November 10 at 1.30pm and will examine the future of retail in healthcare. A panel of industry speakers will discuss in detail issues such as what retail consumers want, how operators will staff for the future and how to look after the future workforce. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the panel.

HCA Vice Chair Stuart Wray says: “Catering daily for the NHS has not only become more difficult in the past two years due to the pandemic, but the importance of what we do for the general health and wellbeing of society is being increasingly recognised. Therefore, it’s vital we continue to support the sector with access to a wide range of resources and events such as this, where we can all learn from each other and from the industry’s best.”

Future topics in the programme line-up will look at trends, initiatives and directions in equipment, recruitment and the overall concept of wellbeing.

Webinars are free to attend for HCA members. Book your place here.
