At last week’s AGM, HEFMA members voted to confirm David Moss, formerly National Vice-Chair, as the association’s new National Chair. David takes over from Geoff Neild who had served as Interim National Chair since April, when former National Chair Kay Mulcahy moved to a new position with the national team at NHS England.

A Chartered Chemical Engineer, David joined the NHS in 2007 following a career in the private sector. For the last two years he has held the position of Director of Estates and Facilities at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. David is moving closer to home and starting as Executive Director of Estates and Facilities at Bradford Teaching Hospital in August.

Among David’s first tasks in the role of National Chair will be a review of the Strategy to be launched at Forum 2025, and to undertake a survey of all members to identify what they want from their membership of the association.

Also at the AGM, Chris Todd (West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust) and Geoff Neild (Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust) were confirmed as National Vice-Chairs.

Look out for the in-depth interview with David in the September/October issue of our Pulse magazine.
