HEFMA’s National Chair to join NHSE’s E&F national team

Kay Mulcahy has been appointed to the position of Associate Director for National Estate Operations, for hard and soft facilities management within NHS England.

Kay has been an active member of HEFMA for 16 years. She is a former Trent Branch Chair, held the position of HEFMA’s National Secretary for seven years, and was a Board Director for six years up to her appointment as National Chair in 2022 for a two-year tenure. 

Kay joined the NHS in 1996 with her present Trust, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, where she is currently Director of Estates & Facilities. 

In her new position, Kay will be responsible for the operational effectiveness of hard and soft FM, including productivity, digital transformation and workforce.

Kay assumes her new role on April 1.
