Estates colleagues on all levels are invited to assist Eastern Branch member Carl-Magnus von Behr (Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge), in his PhD research into knowledge sharing among NHS Estates and Facilities Management departments.

This is a three-year research programme, with a view to enabling more resilient and sustainable delivery of care. Insights from the study will be shared among all participating organisations.

Taking part in a short (10 minute) online survey will help to generate the initial material that is needed in order to further this research. As well as Carl, also on the research team are Prof. Tim Minshall, Inaugural Dr John C Taylor Professor of Innovation at University of Cambridge and Prof. John Clarkson, Professor of Healthcare Systems at University of Cambridge & Delft University of Technology.

This first stage of the research aims to determine the knowledge needs of Estates staff. The results will inform the design and implementation of appropriate channels and techniques for meaningful knowledge sharing among EFM staff on different levels.

Participation in the research is anonymous and free. Carl would be very grateful if Estates colleagues could spare 10 minutes to complete the initial survey which can be found here.

Further explanation of this research programme is available in the My Region section of this website – members please log-in to view these documents.
