The first in a series of digital breakfast events from NHS Digital will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from 8am – 9am.
Full Digital Breakfast will take place on Microsoft Teams and is open to tech and data innovators - particularly Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Clinical Information Officers (CCIOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs).
The events will run throughout 2021 as an opportunity to discuss the many national digital products that have been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the first session “Let’s talk 111” NHS Digital leaders Ian Lowry (Director for Digital Integration) and Jonathan Benger (Chief Medical Officer) will chat to guest panellists about how they upscaled the 111 service to meet unprecedented demand during the pandemic.
The panellists for the first session have been confirmed as Iain Pickles, Director of Urgent and Emergency Care Transformation at NHS England, Dr Gareth Stuttard, National Clinical Lead for Urgent and Emergency Care at NHS England/NHS Improvement and Jacqui Jedrzejewski, Clinical Lead for Digital at NHSX.
NHS Digital’s Director of Communications Matt Bacon, who will chair the events, says: “I’m delighted to be able to kick off this series of NHS Digital events, which we hope will bring out into the open some of the lesser-known stories of the NHS tech community's work during the pandemic.
“It’s great to be able to bring members of our team together with other experts at the heart of the pandemic response to share experiences from the past year and discuss what lessons we can take forward for the future.”
Future Full Digital Breakfast events will cover topics such as User Centred Design and the Power of Data. More information will be available on the NHS Digital website.
