As plans for the 2020 Leadership Forum reach their final stages, HEFMA is delighted to announce that Peter Hancock will return to Chair this flagship event for the association.
Peter previously chaired our 2018 Leadership Forum and says: “I am thrilled to be involved once again at the HEFMA Forum, having supported the event as on-stage host a couple of years ago where I met some of the industry's top leaders and innovators. The association certainly knows how to pull the right crowd!
In his day job, Peter is Chief Executive of Pride of Britain Hotels, a position he has held since 2000. Pride of Britain Hotels is a collection of independent, luxury hotels, which provides its members with a wide range of marketing services.
He began his career as a waiter in the late 1970s and has worked his way to the top via a succession of hotel and restaurant managerial positions and a directorship of guide publisher, Johansens.
Peter is also an honorary Master Innholder and St Julian Scholar, a Fellow of HOSPA, a member of the Professional Speaking Association and an ambassador for the Gold Service Scholarship and the Independent Hotel Show.
He writes regularly for The Caterer in 2019 he won the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry from the Institute of Hospitality, of which he is also a Fellow.
