The shortlists for both the National MyPorter and MyCleaning Awards have been announced today (January 27). Three candidates have been shortlisted for each of the 12 award categories across the two events, from nearly 200 entries.
This year taking place in greater collaboration with NHS England (NHSE), the MyPorter and MyCleaning Awards celebrate the achievements of those who work within clinical support services.
The live awards ceremonies at which the winners will be announced will take place in central London across two days and will shine a spotlight on healthcare’s unsung heroes. The programme for each day also includes a mini conference.
On the first day, the National MyPorter Awards will honour the best in portering for all the fantastic hard work and commitment they show. The conference will feature talks from NHSE and various Trusts, covering subjects including Portering Standards and lobbying for recognised Portering Training and Qualifications.
The second day will celebrate healthcare cleaners, domestic teams and auditors and the fantastic work they do in keeping patients safe by ensuring infections are kept to a minimum. Simon Corben, Director and Head of Profession for Estates & Facilities at NHSE, will be joined by other members of the NHSE team, and AHCP-associated guests, discussing the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness, and healthcare cleaning training.
Both mini conferences will include a dedicated panel session with questions invited from the floor.
