We are thrilled to announce that Stuart Pearce MBE, former Captain of England’s national football team, will be joining our Leadership Forum to help celebrate the achievements of our 2024 award winners.

An electrician by trade, Stuart’s determination to succeed took him from warehouse worker to amateur player to Premier League footballer and England Captain. He represented his country 78 times before retiring as a player and moving into management.

As well as management roles at Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United, Stuart spent six years in charge of England U21s as Head Coach, and managed the Great Britain Olympic Squad at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

An elite sportsman, Stuart is also an experienced leadership and motivational speaker, working with sports teams, the military and corporate companies. His passionate approach and inspiring insight, gained from his own extensive personal experiences as well as time spent working with leading coaches and managers across numerous sports, means Stuart is well-placed to recognise and congratulate achievement.

Stuart’s presentation at the Forum will take place at the Gala Dinner following the announcement of all Award Winners on the evening of May 9. See the full speaker programme for the event here and book your delegate place

The shortlisted finalists for HEFMA’s 2024 Awards will be announced on this website at 10am tomorrow morning (March 20).
