Today, (Wednesday, June 17, 2026) is National Healthcare Estates and Facilities Day (EFM Day). Not only does this year’s annual awareness day celebrate the work of all staff involved with the provision of estates and facilities (E&F) services in healthcare across all four nations of the UK, but 2026 also marks a special day for the event itself.
The very first EFM Day was held in 2022, so this year is the fifth iteration of the day. The response to the first event was phenomenal, and since then EFM Day has continued to grow, gaining support and engagement every year. So, whatever celebrations you have planned to mark the day, the Joint Associations Group* wishes everyone a very happy fifth annual EFMDay.
* EFM Day is owned and organised by the Joint Associations Group, which comprises seven professional bodies that support and represent staff working across the occupational groups providing those services within the NHS, wider health and social care and the wide range of commercial partners contracted to deliver services.
