Nominations are now invited for HEFMA’s 2025 awards. These prestigious awards provide peer recognition to Estates & Facilities teams and individuals for their hard work and achievements over the past 12 months.
These awards are free to enter for HEFMA members. We’ve made some changes to the award categories and criteria for 2026. There are seven award categories for which nominations are invited, and HEFMA will also make an Outstanding Contribution award to an individual whose dedication and years of service to E&F services within the NHS has made a real and lasting difference.
Seven award categories
• Cost Saving Initiative
• NEW Digital Innovation
• Leader of the Year
• Personal Development
• Project of the Year
• Sustainability
• Team of the Year
New for 2026 is the Digital Innovation award, which has been introduced to recognise the adoption of technology to improve services. The Cost Saving Initiative award has evolved from the previous Efficiency and Improvement category and invites nominees who can demonstrate the introduction of a new idea, device or process which delivered replicable cost savings, and improved productivity and efficiency for the benefit of patients and service users.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner on the evening of May 28, 2026, during the National Leadership Forum at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. In addition to enjoying the recognition of their peers at this event, the winners will all be featured in subsequent issues of HEFMA’s Pulse magazine.
Winning one of these awards is also a great story for Trusts to share across their own media and communications channels, evidence of the great work their teams are doing towards improving patient care.
The deadline to nominate your teams and individuals is January 23, 2026.
Full details of the criteria for each award, as well as the nomination process are all online.
