There are now just over two weeks to go until the start of HEFMA’s 2024 Leadership Forum in Telford. With the speaker programme and exhibition open on May 9 & 10, the informal ice-breaker dinner on the evening of May 8 and the gala awards dinner on May 9, this is one event that anyone involved with NHS Estates & Facilities cannot afford to miss.

The chosen theme ‘ALL CHANGE, on a track to recovery’ reflects the railway heritage of this year’s venue – the Telford International Centre – as well as the direction of travel for E&F services. As the NHS continues to recover from the lasting impact of the pandemic there is still much change facing the delivery of these services, from the transition to Integrated Care Systems to the challenges and benefits of digital transformation, and innovation in the approach to more collaborative working, whilst always keeping the focus on the patient.

The speaker programme will take a more detailed look at each of these subject areas, as well as updating delegates on HEFMA’s core workstream activities and national programmes, legal compliance and why media matters.

Forum delegates will also enjoy a keynote from Dr Phil Hammond and a motivational session with Drew Povey, as well as a special speaker to help celebrate the achievements of HEFMA’s 2024 Award Winners at the gala dinner. Sporting legend Stuart Pearce is perhaps best known for his prowess on the football pitch, but this former England Captain started his working career as an electrician. Now a leadership and motivational speaker as well as TV pundit and commentator, Stuart Pearce demonstrated his own personal resilience when he famously missed a penalty kick at Italia ’90 which saw England knocked out of the World Cup by Germany.

You can read more about the teams and individuals shortlisted in the annual awards in the May/June issue of Pulse, and a full preview of the event has already been published in the March/April issue of Pulse.

The North West Branch which is hosting the 2024 Forum, looks forward to welcoming you to Telford. See the range of delegate packages that are available and book your place.
