NHS England has published the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025. These updated standards cover all cleaning tasks throughout the healthcare premises, regardless of department. In addition, they also now apply to ambulance Trusts, ensuring the same high-quality cleaning protocols for patient transport vehicles.
As well as ensuring effective cleaning processes, the standards aim for transparency in the results.
