HEFMA’s South West Branch invites all members to join it for the 2024 Branch Conference. Taking place on September 19 at Eastwood Park, the conference is themed ‘Bites & Bytes’ and will delve into the issue of food sustainability and how the developing world of artificial intelligence (AI) can be implemented and used to aid decision-making in the future.
Speakers include Tim Radcliffe, Net Zero Food Programme Manager at NHS England (NHSE), Shabnam Shehan, Estates, Facilities and Capital Development Systems Manager at the University Hospital of Southampton, and Carl-Magnus von Behr, a PhD researcher at the University of Cambridge and the Director of innex.ai Ltd.
Tim will discuss low carbon food choices, electronic ordering, children’s meals and the future of food, whilst Shabnam and Carl-Magnus will focus on the use of AI in estates and facilities management. Shabnam administrates the CAFM database system, Planet Enterprise, used by the Trust, and Carl-Magnus is pioneering an innovative AI platform designed to streamline access to and dissemination of critical guidance, whilst improving collaboration across the NHS.
The programme also includes an update on the activities of the national E&F team at NHSE, the work of HEFMA’s National Council and IHEEM (the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management).
The conference is free to attend. Book your place here.
